Cytec Industries Inc. is increasing the prices of selected UV/EB-curable oligomers, monomers, photo-initiators and VANCRYL® acrylic resins shipped in the Americas on or after June 23, 2008, or as contracts allow.

Evonik Industries AG, Business Unit Coatings and Additives, has announced a price increase for VESTAGON PUR powder coatings crosslinkers and VESTAGON EP-R 4030 in NAFTA by 8 percent, effective July 1, 2008.

Ciba has announced substantial sales price increases across all product ranges with immediate effect, some in excess of 20 percent.

Due to escalating costs in raw materials and transportation, Lucite International has announced a 9 percent price increase on Elvacite® acrylic resins effective June 30, 2008, or as contracts allow.

Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Co. will increase the price of its acrylate and methacrylate monomers and oligomers 6 to 12 percent in the Americas region, effective July 1, 2008. Increases will vary based on the product line.

Tronox Inc., on behalf of its subsidiary companies, has announced that prices for all TRONOX® titanium dioxide (TiO2) grades sold in the Asia-Pacific region will increase by U.S. $150 per ton, effective July 1, 2008, or as contracts allow. Other increases may be announced locally within the region.

Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex has announced a price increase of 15 percent, or a minimum of U.S. $0.10/wet pound, for all specialty latex products sold in North America, with the exception of products sold for glove manufacturing. The increase will be effective on June 15, 2008, and is in addition to all recently announced increases.

Effective on orders shipped on or after July 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) will implement a 5 to 12 percent price increase for all coatings resins products.

The Dow Chemical Co. (Dow) announced that effective immediately or as individual contract terms allow, it will raise the price of vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) in all regions of the world.

DuPont has announced that prices for its Ti-Pure® titanium dioxide (TiO2) products will increase by July 1, 2008, due to rapid and substantial increases in the costs of energy, raw materials and transportation.
