Effective Aug. 15, 2008, Wacker Polymers, L.P. will implement a price increase of $0.04 per wet pound on all prices for vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer and vinyl acetate vinyl chloride dispersions sold in the Americas region.

Evonik Industries’ Coatings & Additives Business Unit has announced a price increase for the product group VESTAMIN® in NAFTA by 8 percent, effective Oct. 1, 2008.

Effective Aug. 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Southern Clay Products Inc. (SCP) will increase the price of its waterborne rheological additives, castors and wax derivatives by 5 to 15 percent.

Tronox Inc., on behalf of its subsidiary companies, has announced that the price for all TRONOX® titanium dioxide (TiO2) grades sold in Europe will increase by EUR 80 per tonne, effective Aug. 1, 2008, or as contracts allow. Other increases may be announced locally within each region.

UOP LLC, a Honeywell company, has announced a price increase of up to 15 percent for its molecular sieve adsorbents and activated aluminas.

WACKER POLYMERS is raising its prices in Europe for AIRFLEX®, VINAC®, FLEXBOND® and FLEXCRYL® dispersions. Effective Sept. 1, 2008, prices for these dispersions will be increased by up to EUR 40 per ton, or as customer contracts allow.

Effective on orders shipped on or after Aug. 15, 2008, or as contracts allow, Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) will implement a 5- to 10-percent price increase for all coatings and powder resins products.

Evonik Degussa Corp.’s Coatings and Additives Business Unit will increase prices by at least 10 percent for VESTANAT® crosslinkers in the United States.
