Univar Solutions Inc. announced it has acquired ChemSol Group, an ingredients and specialty chemicals distributor operating in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, and Honduras.
Stahl has agreed to acquire the high-performance packaging coatings manufacturer. Grace Matthews served as the financial advisor to Stahl on the transaction.
The transaction is in line with KANSAI HELIOS' ESG and growth strategy, and is an extension of its competences in powder coatings, synthetic resins, and liquid coatings.
Sabo is a manufacturer of light stabilizers that relies on TAA derivatives as a raw material. The transaction was announced in mid-October, and the closing took place on December 29, 2022. The company says it is taking this step to focus its portfolio on specialty chemicals.

Since January 2019, CSEA has been a partner and distribution hub for Cortec products and services in Southeast Asia, serving the markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, and Indonesia.
After completion of closing conditions, KANSAI HELIOS will acquire all business assets of Becker Industrie SAS in the railway coatings segment. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2023. Beckers will continue to serve its railway customers in India and China.
Company principals say the new, combined company, with its expanded reach, will be positioned to better serve customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a deeper pool of technical expertise, broader product line offerings, and more diversified supply chain solutions.
Through this integration, EPS has broadened its product portfolio and technological expertise, further diversifying its position in the polymer and pigment dispersion industry. SPI products will continue to be sold by EPS under their current product names.
