BASF’s Chattanooga facilities produce a wide range of polymer dispersions with safety, sustainability, and innovation as top priorities. With operations in Chattanooga and Sparta, BASF employs approximately 300 people in Tennessee and invests nearly $23 million in the state through annual payroll, purchases, taxes, and charitable contributions.
The goal was to revitalize an underpass leading to Klingenberg’s middle school, and renovate the school yard. The project brought together more than 90 PPG volunteers, who spent three days – and a total of 1,900 hours – beautifying the underpass and the school yard at the Dr. Konrad Middle school.
