We are looking for truly new technologies that have been significantly tested, as well as creative new applications of existing technologies that have been discovered and can help liquid and/or powder coatings manufacturers with their formulations. Our attendees will also be interested in university R&D, reports on the latest market drivers/trends, and forecasts for the future of the coatings industry. Topics we are seeking include:

Who Should Submit a Proposal?

Raw material, equipment, and service suppliers to liquid and powder coating manufacturers, consultants, and pretreatment experts and applicators who can clearly and effectively share their scientific research findings and offer useable takeaways in 30 minutes. Research firms and universities that can explore the fundamental research feeding these advancements are also welcome.

Sponsoring or exhibiting companies are not guaranteed a speaking time – the same review process applies.

Our Audience

Coatings Trends & Technologies Summit is the Midwest’s premier coatings conference that brings together coatings chemists, formulators, R&D personnel, and raw material and equipment suppliers to present and discuss innovations in liquid and powder coatings technology.

Additional Notes

  • Proposals should focus on a current challenge, customer request, regulatory issue, or trend that coatings manufacturers face, and the new technology that has been researched and developed to meet these challenges.
  • Tradenames, product names, or numerical identifiers are prohibited in proposals or presentation slides. (PCI vets all presentations and reserves the right to request changes, or for our editors to make changes/directly to presentations that do not meet these requirements.)
  • Length of presentation is 30 minutes total (includes 5 minutes of Q&A).
  • Speaker agrees their presentation is not a platform to promote their company or products.
  • Speakers are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses. Discount hotel rate available.
  • Speakers receive a complimentary registration ($650 value).

  • Submission Deadline: April 12, 2024
  • Review period: Review and program development will take place in the weeks following the deadline.
  • Notification: Selected speakers will be notified in early May 2024.
