BARCELONA, Spain - Thomas Lübkemeier has been appointed the European Machine Vision Association’s (EMVA) General Manager. He takes over responsibilities from Cor Maas, who has been serving as General Manager on a provisional basis since July 2012.

Lübkemeier joined the EMVA family in 2008, when he was responsible for a machine vision system and solution provider located in Germany. He has spent his professional life in the industrial automation area, with a focus on international business development.

Founded in May 2003, EMVA works to promote the development and use of machine vision technology and to support the interests of its members - machine vision companies, research institutions and national machine vision associations.
