NÜRNBERG, Germany - The European Coatings Congress and European Coatings Show will take place March 18-21, 2013, in Nürnberg, Germany. The congress will feature 150 presentations on the latest developments for coatings, paints, sealants, construction chemicals and adhesives. The show has already exceeded the size of the previous event in 2011 and is continuing to grow. Organizers report growth particularly in the production equipment segment.

For the first time, the European Coatings Show and Congress will overlap by one day. The congress runs from March 18-19, and the show will run from March 19-21. This gives visitors more time for talks at the congress or show.

For 2013, organizers of the show have enlarged the display space. The laboratory, production equipment, and testing and measuring equipment segments are now concentrated in the center of the show. The show promises to offer the entire spectrum of equipment available to the industry.

The 12th edition of the congress on coatings technology promises specialist knowledge at the highest level. Congress visitors can get updates on the most recent developments from science and industry at 24 series of presentations taking place over the two days of the event. Topics range from architectural, wood and protective coatings to bio-based coatings and functional materials. The “Science Today − Coatings Tomorrow” series, taking place March 18, will present the latest scientific findings for future coating solutions. A comprehensive poster session supplements the congress.
