Pittsburgh Paints Co. Marks 150 Years with Rebrand

Pittsburgh Paints Co. unveiled a new logo and tagline to mark its 150th anniversary and reflect its position as an independent player in the North American paint and coatings market.

The rebrand includes updated exterior signage for U.S. retail locations and new labeling for products currently sold under the PPG PAINTS® banner, including the SPEEDHIDE® and MANOR HALL® lines. Product formulations will remain unchanged. Canadian retail stores will retain existing branding.
The new tagline, “Priming you for success,” highlights the company’s commitment to both professional and DIY customers.
“Our logo is a fresh take on the heritage of the ‘Drippy P’ that our customers still recognize,” said Jenny Burroughs, chief marketing officer. “In just a few words, our tagline clearly demonstrates our dedication to our customers through expertise, hustle, vision and partnership.”
“We’re building on our legacy while embracing our future,” said Brian Carson, CEO. “Just like a fresh coat of paint can transform a space, our new identity represents a launch pad for what’s next.”
