PARIS-LA DEFENSE, France – Safic-Alcan, an international distributor of specialty chemicals, announces that effective July 1, 2016, the name of its subsidiary, Necarbo B.V. became Safic-Alcan Necarbo B.V.

Rebranding Necarbo is part of the process that started a few months ago with Safic- Alcan launching its new corporate logo with a goal of conveying its values, technical expertise and ability to provide innovative solutions.

Since the acquisition in February 2012, Necarbo and Safic-Alcan have been working together to merge their specialty chemicals and life science products offerings, to grow their positions, and to deliver enhanced customer solutions and services. Moreover, the acquisition allowed Necarbo to develop a fully integrated coatings application laboratory in the Netherlands.

The name change will have limited consequences in the day-to-day business relation with customers, principals and partners. The Necarbo logo will disappear and make way for the iconic blue pinnacle of Safic-Alcan, leading to a unified and harmonized identity and image of the company.
