The company plans to transfer the production to other locations in the region. The intention is the first part of a multi-year industrial efficiency plan to be fully finalized by the end of 2026.

The company concluded that, given continued losses, the economics of the plant in Podari cannot sustain the necessary continued expenditure. Following the announcement, activities within the Biofuels & Derivatives business line, which supported the development and ramp-up of the plant, will be downsized.  

The decision comes as part of a comprehensive strategy to improve the earnings quality of producers of the Ti-Pure brand by optimizing its manufacturing circuit.
