The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has launched www.BuildingWithChemistry.org to provide architects, material specifiers, interior designers, and other building and construction professionals with tools and information about green building codes and standards, materials selection, and the role of chemistry in developing innovative, sustainable building materials.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced that Jane Henley, former Chief Executive Officer of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), has come on board as a senior advisor to provide strategic guidance on global market development efforts in Asian markets.

The inaugural Building Health Forum, the first event from the U.S. Green Building Council of Northern California’s Building Health Initiative, will be hosted at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Mission Bay on December 11, 2014.

Durability is the most important characteristic associated with building products in general and “green” building products in particular, according to the findings of a blind survey of U.S. architects commissioned by PPG Industries.
