This article explains various ways an antimicrobial is referred, used, evaluated and/or promoted in several markets, particularly focusing on coatings and building products applications.
This work demonstrates that evaluating coatings on non-porous substrates
like vinyl charts that resist wetting by moisture makes it more difficult for
fungi to proliferate on the coating surfaces, and therefore using them for
testing may over estimate the performance of a coating.
