Axalta Coating Systems announced it has won the Innovation in Costs and Excellence in Direct Purchase category in CAOA Chery’s annual Best Supplier Awards.

Advanced Polymer Coatings (APC) has entered a deal with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) to recoat 15 cargo tanks on its 25,583 DWT chemical tanker, the Reinhold Schulte. The agreement follows similar deals struck earlier this year to recoat the 25,581 DWT Rudolf Schulte and 25,620 DWT Rebecca Schulte.

For the first time, coatings manufacturer Hempel will participate in the UN climate summit COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Hempel joins the summit to support and push for an accelerated decarbonization, especially in the maritime and renewable energy industries.
