Daubert Cromwell has announced several changes to its top level management positions, including a vice president finance and chief financial officer appointment.

Thies has more than 36 years of service in multiple positions with powder coating equipment supplier Gema; since 2010, he has been the director of sales and engineering.

Huang has a long history with Daubert Cromwell, first as the country manager for China and then as managing director, Daubert China. She started by first supplying much needed VCI packaging to customers in China, then built and operated a VCI film extrusion facility in Shanghai to support that business.

Friede joins Brenntag from Akzo Nobel N.V., where he is a member of the company’s executive committee, serving as chief commercial officer Performance Coatings. He will succeed Henri Nejade as chief operating officer Brenntag Specialties, who has chosen not to extend his contract by the end of June 30, 2023.

In his new role, the new vice president will be leading strategic development and growth initiatives within North America. He has more than 38 years of service with Gema in multiple positions; since 2006 he has been the general manager of Gema North America.

The award recognizes an individual for contributions to the advancement of the protective coatings industry. The Pioneer award honors Rosati’s 40+ years of service, and was presented to him during a ceremony held in December 2022.

The new managing director will lead the strategic direction across a diverse portfolio, including coil and extrusion coatings, packaging coatings, wood finishes, and wood adhesives.

Salvat will continue to report to PPG senior vice president and general counsel, Anne Foulkes.The new appointee succeeds Ram Vadlamannati, who will transition to a new PPG role. 

Shertok will support ChemQuest’s Manufacturing Excellence and M&A Advisory Services pillars. Rodrigues will explore business development opportunities in Brazil. She will also serve as a client resource for ChemQuest’s Business Strategy & Transformation, Technology Development, and M&A Advisory Services pillars.

Munoz will be transitioning into a business manager role for the CASE vertical. With Munoz’s move to business manager, Burrows will fill the regional sales manager – CASE role in the Southwestern/Western territory.
