BASF has released a new color report detailing the trends in automotive coatings, like the industry's rainbow expanding to allow colors like yellow, orange, green, and violet to take share.

In an effort to reduced its carbon footprint, the coatings manufacture has acquired an ISO certification for its environmental management system.

The new coatings contain a proprietary resin technology specifically tailored to the needs of the HVAC segment, including commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Industry professionals as well as academic/government research institutes are invited to submit abstracts, detailing high-level technical contributions and presenting their latest research results that highlight advancements in coatings.

According to the report, worldwide consumption of silicones coatings is projected to increase at a CAGR of 6% from 2022 to 2032.

The contracts are for the application of the company’s MarineLINE tank coating to both newbuild tankers as well as recoating projects.

According to the report, the global industrial coatings market is projected to grow with a significant CAGR in the forecast period: 2023-2030. 

In line with this appointment, the coatings manufacturer also announced the retirement of Gordon M. Hyde, who previously served in this role.

The coatings manufacturer has announced its financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2023.

President and CEO, Tim Knavish, commented that PPG made good progress on its focus to achieve full operating margin recovery, as year-over-year earnings improved in both segments despite more acute pandemic-related demand disruptions in China.
