All Perstorp production plants use water for multiple purposes: as a solvent for chemical reactions, a carrier for products, a heat-transfer medium, and for cooling. The Stenungsund project will enable wastewater from the water treatment plant to be further purified and reused at the Perstorp Oxo production plant.
Upon commercialization of these projects, more than 65% of the energy for its Roha, India, and Cuddalore, India, sites will be supplied by renewable sources. The investment process is expected to close after customary reviews in the coming weeks.
