The company’s sales amounted to €15.7 billion, down by €6.2 billion compared with the prior-year period. The decline was reportedly due to considerably lower prices, primarily in the materials, chemicals, and surface technologies segments.

According to the report, the company’s revenue across currencies was up 5% on pricing, despite flat volumes, while reported revenue was 4% down on unfavorable exchange rates.
Reportedly, consolidated net sales increased 1.1% in the quarter to $6.12 billion. All comparisons are to the third-quarter of the prior year, unless otherwise noted.

Fiscal 2024 first-quarter adjusted EBIT was reportedly an all-time record and was in addition to strong growth in the prior-year period when adjusted EBIT increased 33.1%.
Consolidated sales in Q2/2023 totaled 269,232 million KRW, gross profit margin was 8.3%-points lower in Q2/2023 than in Q2/2022, and net profit in Q2/2023 was 11,956 million KRW.
Compared with the same period last year, adjusted EBITDA fell by 38 percent. Evonik already published preliminary figures for the second quarter on July 10.
