Four new manufacturing lines are now operational following the €21 million expansion project in Italy – two of them dedicated to automotive primers and two to architectural coatings.
A new production site for silicones is to be built in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The main drivers of this expansion measure are megatrends such as electromobility and renewable energies, which require silicones.
The new facility is a key strategic investment to strengthen the distribution platform in Southeast Asia, where customers will benefit from fast and flexible solvent-based solutions and access to regional supply chain services.
“We are always looking for opportunities to better serve our customer base and we felt this warehouse was the perfect addition to our Midwest footprint,” said Ken Moran, President.
Focused on delivering innovative, market-driven photonic solutions, the company announced the appointment of Dan Brailer as its Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations, and Ariel Kuperminc as its Vice President, Corporate Treasurer.
The coating and adhesive resins business line expects the additional production capacity to be ready as early as the second quarter of 2024, following the double-digit million-euro investment.
The facility provides filling and packaging capabilities for aerospace materials, including coatings and sealants for a wide range of aircraft, as well as technical support and a laboratory.
The project involves the custom design, engineering, and construction of a direct fired thermal oxidizer (DFTO), waste heat boiler, H2S scrubber system, and an enclosed flare for a prominent player in the chemical sector.
With this expansion, the company now provides regulatory automation for the three largest chemical industry markets in the world – the United States, China, and the European Union; Japan is scheduled for 2024.
