On March 5-6, PCI Publisher Donna Campbell and I had the opportunity to attend Bühler Inc.’s Open House and Technology Seminar in Mahwah, NJ.

A new 34-inch sanitary stainless steel pin mill, CIM-34-SS provides coarse-to-fine grinding of friable powders, flakes and granules into controlled particle sizes.

Experiments with a water-based thixotropic pigment paste have shown that the throughput is a key parameter in the grinding of such a material with a non-ideal flow behavior.
