Seven broad consortia have been established as part of the government-funded “Perspectief” program, with AkzoNobel set to play a leading role in the SusInkCoat project, which will explore how to make inks and coatings more sustainable.

The two partners signed an agreement to continue their research collaboration at the Catalysis Research Laboratory until 2028. Since the founding of the laboratory in 2006, more than 100 employees from 34 countries have been involved in the development of new processes for homogeneous catalysis and organic synthesis.

Originating in November 2016, the partnership now expands to June 2027. Dave Kindig is now Brand Ambassador for AkzoNobel’s flagship Sikkens brand in North America in addition to the Modern Classikk by Kindig paint line.
