DUBLIN, OH – Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., is increasing the price of all grades of N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP, M-Pyrol) sold globally. The increase is effective January 1, 2015, or as contracts allow.

Prices in North America and Asia will increase up to $0.05/lb ($0.10/kg). Prices in Europe will increase €0.08/kg.

The increase will allow Ashland to continue investing in new capacity and technology that support product development and regulatory and logistics support.
