NEW ORLEANS - Early-bird registration for the 2015 Waterborne Symposium ends December 2, 2014. The symposium will take place February 11-13, 2015, in New Orleans. Short courses held in conjunction with the event will take place February 8-10.
New to the symposium this year is the one-day “Fundamentals of Coatings” taught by Shelby F. Thames, Professor Emeritus of the School of Polymers and High Performance Materials of The University of Southern Mississippi. This add-on course will provide an understanding of the basic principles involved in coatings to entry-level chemists in the coatings industry. Also offered this year is “The Science of Formulating,” also taught by Thames. Back by popular demand is the short course, “Reformulating to Waterborne Coatings,” taught by Dr. Robson F. Storey, a professor of polymer science of The University of Southern Mississippi. This course provides chemists in the coatings industry an understanding of the principles involved in reformulating to a waterborne system.
