COLOGNE, Germany – On January 1, 2015, Stephan Spiegelhauer will take over as head of the Global Competence Center Paint at LANXESS’ Inorganic Pigments (IPG) business unit. He succeeds Volker Schneider, who has been responsible for technical customer support in paints and coatings for LANXESS since 2002 and who will retire at the end of the year.

Spiegelhauer has worked for several international raw material suppliers in the paints and coatings industry and has held various positions in the application of coating binders and additives in coating raw materials. Since joining LANXESS in 2009, the chemist has been engaged in the application of iron and chrome oxide pigments in paints and coatings. In addition to his function as Laboratory Manager in the Global Competence Center Paint, Spiegelhauer is now responsible for technical customer support in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
