ROSWELL, GA - Imerys Carbonates North America will increase prices up to 10% on all of its calcium carbonate products manufactured in the United States and Mexico. The increases will be effective December 1, 2014, or as contracts allow.

The price increases support investment in manufacturing, quality systems, maintenance, environmental compliance and new product development. In addition, surcharges associated with unique packaging configurations will be evaluated in an ongoing effort to reduce manufacturing complexity and cost, as well as to improve ready availability of bagged products.

Customers purchasing products on a delivered basis will also see the effects of highly volatile and increasing truck and rail freight rates. Imerys continues to work with its freight partners to minimize this impact as much as possible.
