TEWKESBURY, UK - Powder characterization specialist Freeman Technology has established a representative office in China and appointed Joey Xie to be the Product Manager and Chief Representative. Based in Shanghai, Xie will manage sales and marketing activities and will provide support for existing users in the region.

Managing Director Tim Freeman said, “It is an exciting time for Freeman Technology. The creation of a direct operation in China reflects the sustained growth we have seen there in recent years. The provision of a local operation allows us to continue delivering the benefits of our technology to a wider audience.”

The expansion into China follows the establishment of new distribution partnerships in Brazil with Dafratec, and in Malaysia and Singapore with Research Instruments. These distributors will work with prospective users from all industries and take responsibility for applications support and service for the growing number of FT4 Powder Rheometer^® users in these territories.

To support this increasing global presence, Steve Evans has also joined the Freeman Technology team in the role of Global Sales & Marketing Manager.
