CLEVELAND – NCCA President Jeff Widenor inducted Vic Locastro of Precoat Metals into the NCCA Hall of Fame. The event took place at the NCCA Annual Meeting in Napa, CA, on April 8.

Locastro became active in NCCA in the early 1970s and continued his involvement for more than 35 years. As an industry leader, he chaired several committees, served as a leading advocate for the association and served on the NCCA board of directors from 1983 to 1986.

He also helped to organize new committees that helped to expand the market and strengthen the influence of NCCA. His committee activity included the Marketing Committee, Container Products Committee, Building Products Committee, Garage Door Committee, Program Planning Committee, the Trade Show Task Force and others.

Active in marketing the association, he helped develop marketing literature and establish the procedures in prepaint conversion projects, especially in the building products industry. He became an industry spokesperson in articles, seminars, trade shows, and he served as NCCA’s ambassador liaison to other associations.

NCCA Hall of Fame inductees must meet certain high standards of association activity and be a good example for the industry. Since its inception of the NCCA Hall of Fame in 1992, only 43 people have been so honored for their exceptional contributions to the coil coating industry.
