NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – National Paint Industries has purchased the assets of Talon Paint Products of Jersey City, NJ. Talon has been manufacturing industrial maintenance coatings since 1949 and has a broad range of epoxy, silicone, and polyurethane products serving the OEM and refinish markets in the metropolitan New York area.

“We are excited about adding the Talon product line to our family of products.  Talon has a long history of manufacturing premium quality coatings and we welcome the opportunity to preserve this fine name and expand on it.  The maintenance market will continue to grow as the economy improves and there will be higher demand for these types of products,” said Mike Schnurr, President of National Paint Industries.

George Pica, former owner of Talon, will direct sales for the protective coatings business of National that will also include products from the Harco and Top Secret Coatings brands.

Established in 1959, National Paint Industries manufactures specialty coatings for the pleasure and commercial marine, hardwood flooring, swimming pool, and industrial maintenance markets with nationwide distribution under the Harco, Bluewater, Top Secret, Garco, Petri and Wilson Imperial brand names.
