NEW YORK/SHANGHAI - Argosy International Inc., a leading supplier of advanced composites and related materials to the Asia-Pacific aerospace industry, created and filled two new management positions to keep pace with its rapid growth.

Michelle Chen, formerly the Director of Human Resources in Asia for Owens-Illinois, was appointed Global Human Resources Director and has joined Argosy's executive leadership team. Chen will be based in Shanghai and will report to Richard Rocco, President and COO of Argosy based in New York.

S.K. Hong, formerly Managing Director of Argosy's operations in Korea, was promoted to the new position of Asia-Pacific Sales Director and will oversee Argosy's commercial organization in China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia and India. Hong will report to Ryan Flugel, Argosy's Vice President, Sales and Marketing, who is based in Seattle, WA.

Argosy is the exclusive distributor of Cytec Aerospace Materials and Cytec Process Materials to the aerospace industry in Asia (excluding Japan). Argosy manufactures aluminum honeycomb in a joint venture with Xian Aircraft Corp. and is licensed by Akzo Nobel to formulate coatings for the aerospace industry in China. Argosy also has a logistics division that operates globally and has special capabilities such as handling hazmat and temperature-sensitive materials.
