At Booth 2512, Patcham is showcasing a breakthrough in the dispersion of challenging pigments including high-structured carbon black. Effective dispersion with Patcham high-molar-volume (HMV) polymeric dispersing agents offers reduced milling time, superior film performance, high tinting strength, high masstone and jetness, and good gloss and transparency. Innovative HMV polymers offer superior dispersion and stabilization of all pigments, but especially high-structured carbon blacks and organics. These HMV polymers have side groups that are specially designed such that the apparent volume is very high as compared to the mass. They form a dense cloud around the pigment particles, leading to excellent dispersion and stabilization.

The versatility of these HMV polymers can be also utilized for high loading of pigments to create pigment concentrates (PCs). A balanced combination of DA with PATCHAM Synergists can extend shelf life and maintain viscosity and quality of PCs. Tested formulations of PCs may vary from aldehyde, castor oil, acrylic, epoxy and UPR.
