At Booth 2430, BioAmber is featuring BIO-SA™ biobased succinic acid for coating resins. BIO-SA is a versatile building block for the synthesis of polyesters. Manufactured using BioAmber's patented yeast fermentation technology, BIO-SA offers an alternative to petroleum-based adipic or phthalic acids and anhydrides. It can be used in unsaturated and saturated polyester, polyurethane, alkyd and epoxy resins for coatings. Bio-SA-based resins offer better sustainability and enhanced product performance including solvent and abrasion resistance.

BioAmber also presented “Bio-Based Succinic Acid: A Versatile Building Block for Performance-Driven Polyurethane Dispersions and Coatings” at the AC Congress on April 7.
