INDIANAPOLIS – Specialty chemical supplier Vertellus, Indianapolis, has opened a second facility in India. The newly opened Mumbai office of Vertellus Specialty Materials (India) Pvt. Ltd. functions primarily as a business office and will eventually accommodate up to eight Vertellus staff members. In addition to the new facility, located in India’s financial center, Vertellus also maintains manufacturing operations in Vapi.

According to Global Sales Director Mark Lewis, the Vertellus office in Mumbai signifies a strategic investment and a long-term commitment to serving market needs in India and the region. “The Mumbai office reflects our commitment to invest in the people, capital and infrastructure necessary to support business growth in India and the surrounding region,” Lewis said.

According to Lewis, the initial Mumbai staff will be composed primarily of business team members. He also noted that global engineering and information technology specialists might also be added in the near future.
