BETHESDA, MD - RadTech, the nonprofit trade association for UV and EB processes, is accepting nominations for its new sustainability achievement awards program, "Promoting Sustainability Through UV/EB Technology." UV and EB are widely used in printing, electronics, wood, plastics and various other industrial operations as a way to reduce harmful emissions and cut energy use.
"Today, sustainability is on the minds of everyone. Through this new awards program, applicants will be highlighting the many sustainability advantages of UV/EB technology. RadTech is looking forward to celebrating those accomplishments," said Doreen M. Monteleone, Director of Sustainability & EHS Initiatives.
Award winners will offer real-world descriptions of how UV/EB technology improves the sustainability in manufacturing, including reductions in emissions, hazardous chemicals, water, energy and transportation; improved safety and health benefits; and better return on investment. Award winners will be honored at the biennial RadTech UV/EB Technology Expo & Conference 2014, held May 12-14, Rosemont (Chicago), IL.
