FLEETWOOD, PA - Custom Milling & Consulting Inc. (CMC), Fleetwood, PA, broke ground on a new warehouse and storage facility on December 17, 2013.

With assistance from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, the new building will have 33,600 square feet of space and storage. It will be located right next to the existing 45,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Construction officially began on December 20, 2013.

Vice President and Co-Owner Joe Zidik commented, “Our growth over the last few years from a handful of employees to over 35, at present, should be considered slow and steady, and we prefer it that way. Because of the care required to process and analyze the products we make, we only run a one-shift operation. But now that our technicians are becoming better trained, we plan to add an additional shift and as many as 10 more employees in the coming year.”

Owned and operated by Carl Yerger and Joe Zidik, CMC specializes in wet milling. The company provides services that include producing products for other companies, manufacturing wet milling equipment, and parts and service. In the last few years it has manufactured a line of mulch colorants under the CMC name and has seen an increase in business.
