BETHESDA, MD - Dr. Doreen Monteleone has joined RadTech as Director of Sustainability and EHS Initiatives. Monteleone has been helping businesses with regulatory compliance and sustainability issues for more than 20 years. In the early 1990s, she worked with many industry groups as the first Clean Air Act Small Business Ombudsman for New York State. Since then, she has been on staff with Flexographic Technical Association working extensively with the flexographic printing community.
Monteleone is the recipient of the 2012 Printers National Environmental Assistance Center (PNEAC) Environmental Publication of the Year for a series of articles on carbon footprinting, which appeared in FLEXO Magazine. The Printing Industries of America honored her with the 2010 William Dwight Schaeffer Environmental Award for significant advancement of environmental awareness with the graphic arts industry. In 2004, she was the first recipient of the PNEAC Partner of the Year Award in recognition and appreciation for exemplary service and leadership to develop innovative tools for environmental compliance assistance and pollution prevention in the printing industry.
RadTech’s Education Committee introduced Krystin Holmes during RadTech’s fall meeting in Syracuse, NY. Holmes is working as an advisor for RadTech’s Student Competition that will be part of the RadTech Expo and Technology Conference coming up in May 2014 in Chicago. She is a polymer science teacher at Petal High School in Petal, MS, where she teaches polymer chemistry, processing, composites and an introduction to materials.
