LONDON - The British Coatings Federation (BCF) has received a record number of entries for both the BCF Sustainable Innovation and the Excellence in Training awards. Winners will be announced, along with the Student of the Year Award and Coatings Care Awards, on Tuesday November 12.
The Sustainable Innovation award, now in its fourth year, recognizes and celebrates outstanding innovations within the coatings industry that have the greatest impact on the sustainability of the supply chains in which the industry’s products, processes and services play a role. Dr. Phil Gamlen, Senior Fellow at the Manchester Business School, Peter Collins of the Paint Research Association, and BCF Past President David Thomas will judge the entries.
The Coatings Care award recognizes the achievements of UK coatings and ink manufacturer sites in improving 45 environmental and safety Key Performance Indicators.
The Excellence in Training award has been opened up this year to include non-BCF initiatives and will be judged by BCF’s CEO Tom Bowtell and Gary Overton from the National Skills Academy. This award recognizes excellence in training.
