PLYMOUTH, MI - Resinate Materials Group Inc., a provider of polyurethane dispersion technology to the coatings industry, announced that Dr. Shakti Mukerjee has joined the company as Director of Product Development for Polyols and PUDs. Shakti will be responsible for leading laboratory activities for Resinate’s next generation of products.

Mukerjee has over 25 years of experience investigating and developing polymer-based products for numerous industries and applications. Prior to joining Resinate, he worked at BYK Additives, formerly Southern Clay Products, where his research involved the development of new commercial products for the coating, drilling and cosmetic industries. While at Zeon Chemicals, Mukerjee developed new polymerization techniques that resulted in products for the automotive, medical device and other industries. Mukerjee has coauthored 15 scientific publications and five U.S. patents.
