LEATHERHEAD, England - Nick Smith of Sun Chemical, Parsippany, NJ, has started a two-year term as the President of the British Coatings Federation (BCF). Smith is the first President of the Federation from the printing inks industry since 1998. 

Smith first joined Sun Chemical in 1999 as a Sales and Key Account Manager with the publications sales team. He has spent the last 14 years progressing within the company covering various functions and divisions including taking up a number of central business and project roles within the UK, Ireland and Nordic business units. These roles have included leading strategic business transformation projects, operational management, business responsibility for the UK Packaging division and as Managing Director for the UK-Nordic strategic business unit.
