CHICAGO – Going into its fourth year as a partner of the FABTECH conference program, the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) announced another series of finishing educational sessions to be presented at FABTECH 2013 in Chicago from November 18-21. The Finishing Conference is part of CCAI’s participation in FABTECH. Along with a Finishing Pavilion that features more than 150 exhibiting companies showcasing finishing products and services, CCAI is providing more than 40 hours of conference programming to help companies raise the standards of their finishing operations. The current sessions that are a part of the Finishing portion of the conference can be found on the Schedule At-A-Glance link on the FABTECH website (www.fabtechexpo.com) under the Learn tab on the home page.

CCAI has developed a program geared towards both finishing newcomers and industry veterans. Attendees will find a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions available. Basic sessions will cover electrocoating, system design, powder coating, cleaning and pretreatment, and running efficient paint systems. The Finishing Essentials sessions cover how to achieve excellent finishes, paint hooks and racks, manual powder coating, and the impact of finishing operations on the environment. Other sessions will discuss mechanical finishing, porcelain enamel, cost savings for powder coating, application equipment, getting ready for an OSHA or EPA visit, and more.

Anyone signing up for at least one Finishing session will be able to attend the CCAI Emerging Technologies session on Monday, November 18, free of charge. These 15-minute presentations are designed to give attendees a quick look at innovative and emerging products from a variety of finishing suppliers.
