ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – IMCD Group B.V. has acquired a majority interest in Makeni Chemicals, a leading specialty chemicals distributor in Brazil. Makeni covers a wide range of market sectors including coatings and adhesives.

The Medrano founding family will keep a minority interest in the business, with Reinaldo Medrano continuing as Managing Director of the company.

Founded in 1981 and headquartered in São Paulo, Makeni has nine sales representative offices throughout Brazil and a main warehouse facility in Diadema.
