PARSIPPANY, NJ – Sun Chemical Performance Pigments has opened a new manufacturing facility for pigment dispersions and on-site technical service labs in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Outfitted with customized manufacturing equipment, the Rio de Janeiro plant was developed to create aqueous pigment dispersions that meet the specific needs of the region.
With the opening of the facility, Sun Chemical also introduced its new Aquadisperse family of waterborne pigment dispersions for the decorative coatings market.
“At Sun Chemical, we have made a major investment to support the growth in the South American region,” said Myron Petruch, President, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. “By regionally manufacturing our Aquadisperse pigment dispersion line, we are increasing service and value to our customers in the area. The site will support future development of dispersions that meet the specific needs of the region.”
With the opening of the Rio de Janeiro plant, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments is now a global producer of aqueous dispersions on three continents.
