HILTON HEAD, SC - The Southern Society for Coatings Technology’s (SSCT) Annual Technical Conference, “Tomorrow’s Technology for Today’s Coatings,” will be held May 18-21, 2014 at the Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa, Hilton Head, SC. The society is currently seeking technical speakers for this event.

Speakers will be asked to present on the mornings of May 19-21. Speaker time slots will be arranged on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A 200-word abstract of the presentation should be forwarded to Eric Robbins, at eric.robbins@benjaminmoore.com, no later than December 15, 2013. The submission should also include a biography and picture of the speaker. Presentations should be between 20 and 30 minutes.

Presentations will be reviewed based on their technical content and contribution, with a goal of providing educational technical presentations to improve the understanding of the science of coatings. The society is trying to challenge traditional methods of formulation, as well as solve conventional issues that have plagued formulators, utilizing new technologies and approaches. Presentations should not be a platform for new proprietary product introductions or specific trade name promotions. Presentations are due April 1, 2014.
