BLOOMINGTON, MN - Donaldson Co. Inc., Bloomington, MN, announced construction of a new filter manufacturing plant in Skarbimierz, Poland, to serve the filtration needs of its European and Russian customers. The new plant will be 108,000 square feet and will have additional capacity for future expansion.

The facility will be dedicated to the production of heavy-duty air filters for both the on-road and off-road equipment markets. This new Polish plant, expected to open in the 2015 calendar year, represents Donaldson's third manufacturing presence in Central and Eastern Europe. Donaldson's very successful Czech Republic operations were started in Klášterec in 2003 followed by Kadaň in 2006.

The new facility will allow the company to increase its filter manufacturing capacity to meet projected OEM and aftermarket-customer demand throughout Europe and Russia.
