FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Troy Corp., Florham Park, NJ, has won the Ringier Technology Innovation Award for Additives in China’s coatings industry. The award was created to honor those companies that have introduced a new product, technology, or process that advances the coatings industry in China, such as improving efficiency, cost performance, or environmental responsibility. A panel of industry experts evaluated new technologies that debuted and were made commercially available between 2011 and 2013.
Troy was selected for an Additives award for its introduction of Polyphase® 2167, an innovative, zero-VOC broad-spectrum dry-film preservative that not only is highly effective against fungi and yeast, but also creates an antibacterial surface through a unique immobilization technology.
“Troy is proud to have won the Ringier Award for 2013,” said Donald Shaw, Vice President, Troy Asia. “We continue to invest in new technologies, such as Polyphase 2167, and in growing markets like China and Southeast Asia. Recognition of these efforts is welcome as we continue to expand our services and offer more products and capabilities in the growing China market,” continued Shaw. Troy accepted the award at a ceremony held on May 15 in Shanghai.
