AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Paint and coatings manufacturer AkzoNobel has appointed Marten Booisma to be the company's new Executive Committee Member responsible for Human Resources. He will officially take up the position of Chief Human Resource Officer on October 1, 2013.

Booisma has been Chief Human Resource Officer at Royal Ahold since 2007 and will succeed Marjan Oudeman, who is leaving AkzoNobel to become President of Utrecht University.
