PARSIPPANY, NJ – The Hydraulic Institute (HI) recognized and honored David McKinstry, SVP - Engineering & Special Projects, Colfax Fluid Handling, as its Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. The award was presented to McKinstry during HI’s 2013 Annual meeting in Fort Myers, FL.

McKinstry has spent over 25 years working with the institute, striving to develop standards, to establish effective processes, and to educate the pump community not only in North America but globally as well.

In June of 2007, McKinstry was named VP of Technical Affairs. During his time as VP, he was the driving force behind the creation of all ANSI/HI pump standards. With the announcement of the DOE’s intentions to regulate the U.S. pump industry, he was asked to be HI’s technical advisor.
