WOODBURN, OR — Specialty Polymers Inc., Woodburn, OR, has hired Paul Harris to be the company’s new Technical Director.

In his new role, Harris will manage, direct, and coordinate polymer development and applications labs for the company. He will also direct the development of new polymer technologies and manage technical support.

Harris has more than 25 years of experience in design, development, scale-up and production of polymers used in automotive OEM coatings and acrylic latex chemistry. Prior to joining Specialty Polymers, he worked for BASF Corp. in the United States and Germany and was an Assistant Professor of Inorganic Polymer Chemistry at Virginia Tech., Blacksburg, VA.
