TRENTON, NJ - R.E. Carroll Inc. has announced a renewed focus to increase market share in the paint and coatings industry. The company has hired Larry Krock as Director of Business Development and Robert “Bobby” Thompson as Paint & Coatings Technical Sales Representative for the Southeast Region (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama).

With 39 years in the industry, Krock has worked as a Development Chemist for Cargill, in sales functions for the Wm. B. Tabler Co., and as an Account Manager for BASF Colorants, covering the coatings, plastics and specialty colorants markets. He later served as a Product Manager overseeing the colorant product lines for all three of these business units. In 1998, he became the Manager of the BASF colorant distribution business for Seegott. He rejoined the Tabler organization in 2000 prior to accepting the position at R.E Carroll in 2013. Thompson worked for Gilbert-Spruance Paint Co., ultimately serving as Sales Manager, and as the National Accounts Manager at Sadolin Akzo-Nobel Corp. With a partner, he purchased his own company, which rose from $1 million in sales to over $7.5 million in less than six months, after which the business was sold to Technical Coatings.
