EDISON, NJ – Specialty chemicals manufacturer Croda Inc., Edison, NJ, has recently won approval by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for participation in the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), achieving Star certification at its site in Mill Hall, PA. OSHA conducted an onsite review of the manufacturing facility in October 2012 and in February approved the site for participation in the program.
Croda has a history of commitment to health and safety at its locations in the United States. Its manufacturing site at Atlas Point in New Castle, DE, has been a VPP Star-approved site since 2005. The Croda U.S. corporate headquarters and innovation center in Edison, NJ, was a recipient of the OSHA SHARP award in 2006. The SHARP Award is a voluntary program where companies invite OSHA to inspect their facility and rate the company on its adherence to governmental health and safety regulations. Companies that participate in this program are also recognized as being committed to following health and safety guidelines and creating an exemplary workplace environment for employees.
