MUTTENZ, Switzerland – Specialty chemicals company Clariant has inaugurated a new production site for its Industrial & Consumer Specialties Business Unit (ICS) in Coatzacoalcos, Mexico.

With an investment of over $20 million, Clariant’s new site in Mexico will produce several chemical specialties and technological solutions for different markets, including personal care, crop protection, metalworking, construction and coatings.

The site allows the company to integrate production of both finished products and intermediates into one place, creating a more effective raw material supply process. Coatzacoalcos was chosen because of its location between two sites that produce raw materials.
