MANCHESTER, England - John Fletcher, Technical Support Manager for Elcometer, has been elected Vice President of the Institute of Corrosion (ICorr).

Fletcher will serve as Vice President for two years, at which point he will become President elect. Trevor Osborne is the incoming President of ICorr.

Fletcher has worked at Elcometer for more than 30 years and has held the post of Technical Support Manager since April 1998. He has been a member of ICorr for more than 25 years and was elected a Fellow in 2009.

In addition to his work with ICorr, Fletcher is the current Chairman of the ASTM International D01 Main Committee on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications and has been Chairman of the D01.23 sub-committee on Physical Properties of Applied Paint Films since January 2009.
